Volvo 8V Turbo Manifold

347 Stainless • V-Band Turbo • External Wastegate

Following our 16V development program, we’ve applied everything we learned to the Volvo 8-valve B230 platform. The result is a manifold designed with improved flow and greater installation flexibility thanks to the extra space available around the 8V head.

Designed for powerful street cars and motorsport builds, this manifold supports the latest V-band Turbochargers while solving common redblock reliability and fitment issues.

Designed for Performance & Reliability

Runner sizing maintains high exhaust velocity without restrictive bends or tight-radius turns. In this system, your turbine housing A/R is the only limiting factor.

The runners and head flange are designed to support ported cylinder heads, with sufficient flange thickness to allow port matching if required.

These manifolds are over-engineered for durability. We accept a small increase in weight in exchange for long-term reliability under sustained heat and boost.


Built for Real-World Use

We listened to Volvo owners and addressed common issues for a hassle free experience:

  • Removable heat shield protects spark plug leads 
  • Designed to fit around factory components 
  • Clearance for large Turbochargers

Turbo & Wastegate Configuration

  • V-Band turbo flange
    Compatible with V-band turbine housings including:
    Garrett G25, G30, G35, GTX30, GTX35 and similar-frame turbos (Turbosmart, Pulsar, etc.)
  • 44mm external wastegate flange
    Optimised wastegate priority for excellent boost control
    Can be run with internal gate turbos by blanking the wastegate port

Material & Construction

Manufactured from high-quality cast 347 stainless steel, chosen for strength and durability in extreme heat environments.

  • Excellent resistance to heat, corrosion, and thermal fatigue
  • Stabilised with niobium to reduce the risk of cracking
  • Fully weldable for future modifications (turbo or wastegate changes)

This is a manifold built to handle real use, not just look good.

Fitment & Chassis Clearance

Designed around the Volvo B230 8-valve engine and tested in tight RHD Volvo 240 engine bays.

Clearance considered for:

  • Strut tower
  • Frame rail
  • Steering linkage
  • Brake booster
  • Oil filter
  • Alternator

Compatible with both:

  • 75A Volvo 240 alternators
  • 100A later redblock alternators

Also suits larger engine bays such as Volvo 740 and 940 models.

A 60° wastegate relocation elbow is in development to assist fitment in additional chassis configurations.
